Anish Agarwal
High School Junior, Co-President, Head of Chemistry
Anish Agarwal is a junior at Mission San Jose High School with a strong passion for science, education, and community service. He believes that every student deserves access to engaging, high-quality STEM education and is committed to using science as a tool to make a meaningful impact on others.
His passion for STEM has led to success at the national level. Anish was invited to the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) Study Camp as one of the Top 20 students in the nation, was recognized as a USA Biology Olympiad (USABO) Top 125 national finalist, and is a member of the National Science Bowl Championship Team, which earned 1st Place nationally. At Mission San Jose High School, he serves as Co-Vice President of the Biology Club and Vice President of the Chemistry Club, where he enjoys mentoring younger students, organizing educational events, and fostering enthusiasm for science within the school community.
Anish plans to pursue a career in medicine, with the goal of combining scientific innovation, research, and compassionate patient care to improve lives. Through STEM4Care, he hopes to inspire the next generation of students to explore STEM while expanding educational opportunities and giving back to the community through service.
Outside the classroom, Anish enjoys traveling, experiencing cuisines from different cultures, and learning about the traditions and perspectives of communities around the world. He believes that curiosity—both in science and in life—is driven by a willingness to explore, learn, and embrace new experiences.
